The Vice Chancellor of the Prestigious University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Banku Obi has described dialogue as a big and potent weapon that can aid development in communities.
Prof. Obi stated this while receiving members of the Efut Uwanse Traditional Ruling Council, led by their Clan Head, who paid her a courtesy visit in office.
The Vice Chancellor assured the Efut Uwanse Community of her commitment to providing quality education and promised to consider indigenous employment once opportunities arise.
His Royal Highness, Muri Francis Efa Bassey IV, Clan Head of Efut Uwanse, stated that the visit was aimed at strengthening the bond between the Uwanse people and the University Community.
The Royal father also praised the Vice Chancellor's leadership, resilience, and dedication to correcting university abnormalities.
He highlighted challenges facing the community, including blocked access roads from the University's end and lack of employment quotas for Efut Uwanse indigene's.
